Roxy Music Biography
Roxy Music is an English rock band formed in 1971 by Bryan Ferry, who became the group's vocalist and songwriter, and bassist Graham Simpson. The other members were Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay and Paul Thompson. Former members include Brian Eno and Eddie Jobson. Although the band took a break from recording in 1976 and again in 1983, they reunited for a concert tour in 2001, and have toured together intermittently since that time.
Roxy Music gained popular and critical success in Europe and Australia during the 1970s and early 1980s, beginning with their debut album, "Roxy Music" released in 1972.The band became highly influential and leading proponents of the more experimental glam rock, as well as a significant influence on early English punk music. They also provided a model for many New Wave acts of the early 1980s. He and co-founding member Eno have also had solo careers, the latter becoming one of the most significant record producers of the late 20th century.
Their music was influenced by other British artists of the time such as Ferry's favourite band The Beatles. This wasn't exclusive though as they were influenced by other groups such as the Rolling Stones, The Kinks,The Who,Pink Floyd, The Move, Traffic, David Bowie, King Crimson, and Elton John.
They haven't recorded since 1982 and in 2005 they began recording what was thought to be a new studio album, which would have been their 9th.However, Bryan Ferry released the material from these sessions as a solo album, titled "Olympia".

This album  was signed in person and the autographs were obtained whilst performing at the TOTP studios whilst they were performing there. A great piece of Roxy music signed memorabilia.
