Pink

Pink (stylised as P!nk) (Alecia Beth Moore) was born on 8 September 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, United States. She is an American singer, songwriter and performer whose music spans pop, rock and R&B influences. Pink is notable for a long-running international career that began in the late 1990s and has included multiple chart-topping albums, major tours and industry awards.

Moore grew up in Pennsylvania and began performing in local venues as a teenager. She first entered the music industry through the R&B group Choice before signing a solo deal. Pink’s debut studio album, Can’t Take Me Home, was released in 2000 and produced hit singles including “There You Go”. Her early work positioned her within contemporary R&B and pop, while her public persona emphasised vocal power and athletic stage performance.

Her breakthrough and peak commercial era began with Missundaztood (2001), which marked a stylistic shift towards pop-rock and became a major international success. The album included singles such as “Get the Party Started”, “Just Like a Pill” and “Family Portrait”.
