Anne-Marie

Anne-Marie Rose Nicholson was born on 7 April 1991 in East Tilbury, Essex. She is an English singer and songwriter known for her pop sound and distinctive vocal style. Anne-Marie trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and began performing in musical theatre productions during her childhood before pursuing a career in music.

Her early career included vocal work on tracks by artists such as Rudimental, most notably on the single “Rumour Mill” in 2015. She gained wider recognition in 2016 with the release of her own singles, including “Alarm” and “Do It Right”, which charted in the UK and helped establish her as a solo artist.

Anne-Marie released her debut studio album, Speak Your Mind, in 2018. The album was a commercial success, reaching number three on the UK Albums Chart and producing a series of hit singles such as “2002”, “Friends”, and “Rockabye”, the latter a collaboration with Clean Bandit that reached number one in the UK. Speak Your Mind became one of the best-selling albums of the year in the UK and was certified multi-platinum.

Her second studio album, Therapy, was released in 2021 and debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. The album featured singles including “Birthday” and “Our Song”, a collaboration with Niall Horan. Anne-Marie continued to build her international profile through touring, collaborations, and television appearances, including serving as a coach on The Voice UK.

Anne-Marie released her third studio album, Unhealthy, in 2023, further showcasing her evolution as an artist. Throughout her career, she has received several award nominations and has been recognised for her openness in discussing mental health and personal experiences through her music.

With multiple chart-topping singles and albums, Anne-Marie has established herself as one of the UK’s most successful contemporary pop artists. Her music continues to achieve widespread popularity both in the UK and internationally.
