Jonny Clayton Biography
Jonny Clayton was born 4 October 1974 and is a Welsh professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number five. He is nicknamed "the Ferret", and has won four PDC major televised singles titles, all in 2021 when this board was signed. This is the board he signed when he won the They were the Masters, Premier League, World Series Finals and World Grand Prix. He has also won the PDC World Cup of Darts on two occasions in 2020 and 2023, representing Wales alongside Gerwyn Price. He has now won a total of seventeen PDC titles to date.
Michael van Gerwen Biography
Michael van Gerwen was born 25 April 1989 and is a Dutch professional darts player, who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where is currently ranked world number three; he was ranked world number one from 2014 to 2021. He is also a three-time PDC World Champion, having won the title in 2014, 2017 and 2019.
He has won 47 PDC majors, second in the all-time list behind Phil Taylor. This includes a record seven Premier League titles, three titles in the World Matchplay, Grand Slam and UK Open respectively, six World Grand Prix titles, the Players Championship Finals on a record seven occasions, a joint-record four European Championships, as well as the PDC Masters and World Series Finals each a record five times. He is also a three-time PDC World Cup of Darts champion, partnering Raymond van Barneveld for the Netherlands.
He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, he is the second most successful player in PDC history, behind Phil Taylor. As of April 2025, he has won the most PDC Pro Tour events, with 90, and overall has won a total of 158 PDC titles.
He began playing darts at the age of 13. At age 17, he won the 2006 World Masters and threw a televised nine-dart finish at the 2007 Masters of Darts. However, after this initial burst onto the darting scene, he struggled for consistent form, losing the final of the PDC World Youth Championship in both 2011, and 2012.
He Improved from world number 38 at the start of 2012 to number four at the beginning of 2013, he won his first major PDC title at the World Grand Prix and reached the final at the 2013 World Championship. In 2014, at age 24, Van Gerwen became the then-youngest winner of the PDC World Championship.
To date he has reached seven PDC World Championship finals and is one of only five players to win the title more than once. He holds the record for the highest three-dart average in a televised darts match, with 123.4.
Nathan Aspinall Biography
Nathan Aspinall was born 15 July 1991 and is an English professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number seven; he reached a peak ranking of world number four in 2024.
He is nicknamed "the Asp", and has won two PDC major televised titles, winning the 2023 World Matchplay and 2019 UK Open. He has also finished as runner-up at four other major televised events: the 2020 Premier League, 2022 World Grand Prix, 2022 Grand Slam and 2023 World Series Finals. He is a two-time World Championship semi-finalist with back-to-back semi-final appearances in 2019 and 2020. He won his first World Series of Darts title at the 2019 US Darts Masters and won his first two European Tour titles in 2025; at the European Darts Trophy and the European Darts Open. He has won a total of ten PDC titles in his professional career; nine ranking and one non-ranking so far in his career.
Jose de Sousa Biography
José Augusto Oliveira de Sousa was born 12 February 1974 and is a Portuguese professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he reached a peak ranking of world number six in 2022. A PDC Tour Card holder since 2019, he won his first PDC major title at the 2020 Grand Slam of Darts and played at the 2021 Premier League Darts, where he finished as runner-up. This when he signed this match dart board. His best World Championship performance is reaching the last 16 at 2023 PDC World Championship.
He has represented Spain at the 2011 WDF World Cup, but played for the Portuguese team afterwards at the PDC World Cup of Darts. He is known among darts fans for his maverick-like scoring, relatively frequent miscounts and unorthodox checkouts in matches.
