The 2006–07 Guinness Premiership was the 20th season of the top flight of the English domestic rugby union competitions, played between September 2006 and May 2007. The Champions of this season were Leicester Tigers, beating Gloucester RFC 44-16 on 12 May in the Final at Twickenham, having finished joint top with Gloucester on 71pts.

Anglo Welsh Cup 2006/07

This started in 2005-06, the cup featured a new format including only the twelve teams from the Guinness Premiership and the four regional Welsh clubs. Teams from the Championship (formerly National Division One) and below now play for the Powergen National Trophy, and from 2009–10 Championship teams also play in the British and Irish Cup. In place of the knock-out format, the 16 clubs are placed in four pools with 3 English clubs and 1 Welsh club. The pool stages of the Anglo-Welsh Cup tournament feature one game against each team. The winners of each of the four groups progress to the semi-finals. The pools will stay as they are for the following season as well, with home and away fixtures reversed and the club relegated from the Guinness Premiership's place taken by the club promoted from the Championship. The cup was won in 2007 by Leicester Tigers 41 - 35 against Ospreys.

The 2007 Heineken Cup Final was an rugby union match between English clubs Leicester Tigers and London Wasps on 20 May 2007, at Twickenham Stadium, South West London. It was the 12th Heineken Cup final overall and the showpiece fixture of European rugby union's primary cup competition, the Heineken Cup, and the first time in its history that two English sides played each other in the final. It was Tigers' fourth appearance in the final and their first since the 2002 edition when they defeated Munster 15–9. Wasps were competing in their second final, the previous occasion being in 2004, when they defeated Toulouse 27–20. It was the third time the final was played at Twickenham, the two other occasions being in 2000 and 2004. Wasps won the game 25–9 and their second Heineken Cup.
