He was part of the Champions Forever famous five consisting of Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton and Larry Holmes who were at the height of their powers during the 1970's, when each fighter was winning and losing a Heavyweight championship off each other. What an era!!!!! It will surely not be repeated. Obviously with Ken Norton no longer with us, this item is extremely rare.

Ken Norton Bibliography

Kenneth Howard Norton, Sr.was born August 9, 1943 and died September 18, 2013. He is best known as Ken Norton and was an American professional boxer. He was the WBC world heavyweight champion from November 1977 to June 1978.He is best known for his classic trilogy with Muhammad Ali, in which he won their first fight by a twelve round split decision, and controversially lost the latter two fights. He also fought a classic slugfest with Larry Holmes, narrowly losing by fifteen round split decision. Norton officially retired from boxing in 1981, and in 1992, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. On September 18, 2013 he died from stroke complications in Henderson, Nevada at the age of 70.
