Gary Kirsten and Nelson Mandela Signed Match Worn Cricket Glove. This is a Gary Kirsten match worn cricket glove from the 1999 cricket world cup held in England in 1999. It has also been signed by Nelson Mandela on 25 June 1999 and by Gary Kirsten during the tournament. It is supplied with two Coa's one from us and the other from Cecil Grenfield who is a Nelson Mandela specialist. This is very rare and unique item, to combine the legends of South African cricket Gary Kirsten, and and the South African President Nelson Mandela.It is shown unframed, but will be framed included in the price to bespoke requirements of the purchaser.

Gary Kirsten Bibliography.

Gary Kirsten was born 23 November 1967 and is a South African cricket coach and former cricketer. He played 101 Test matches and 185 One Day Internationals for South Africa between 1993 and 2004, mainly as an opening batsman. His half brother Peter also played provincial cricket for Western Province, and then later for the South Africa cricket team which included the highlight of the Cricket World Cup in 1992. He was the coach of the Indian cricket team from 2008 to 2011, going on to win the 2011 Cricket World Cup. He was appointed as the coach of the South African cricket team in June 2011, and he stepped down in August 2013.

The 1999 Cricket World Cup (officially known as ICC Cricket World Cup '99) was the seventh edition of the Cricket World Cup, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was hosted primarily by England, with Scotland, Ireland, Wales and the Netherlands acting as co-hosts. The tournament was won by Australia, who beat Pakistan by 8 wickets in the final at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. New Zealand and South Africa were the other semi-finalists. The tournament was hosted three years after the previous Cricket World Cup, deviating from the usual four-year gap.
